iDIE - the name was born.
But here we had the problem with the design/fonttype of the name itself.
I started research on typography in general and then concentrating on particular artist like Paul Renner.
But even common and contemporary typefaces like the apple logo inspired me to create a main front cover, since iDIE is evolved from the iPod theme.
Based on this, I started designing first drafts:
and redid this with the iPod used font Adobe Myriad Pro:
and finalized it
to underline the negative space within that image. The decaying 'D' is inspired by Renner's 'The Art of Typography' front cover and the 'g' and it's triangle format underneath.
